The one of the tanker dropping retardant near the house gave me goosebumps.

Jul 11, 2008 13:55 | #5 We're in the foothills south of Placerville.. very smokey here too. .. but still feel lucky with no significant fires (so far). We have friends in Concow. .. she had to evacuate w/the horses & dogs at 2am on the 8th.. and he stayed to fight for their place. After 4 days, he's exhausted.. and is almost out of gas for the generator (for the well/water).
