My wife is having some open heart surgery done, gave me a few hours to edit some photos. Fun stuff.

Nice shots. I really like the shot of the pistons.

Thanks, I realized at that show that a 100 2.8 macro is much more fun than a 70-200 2.8 for car shots.

I have never considered using the 100mm macro. I'll have to give that a try. I do like to use the 70-200 though. I can get more distance between me an chrome

There are too many shots I lose on the 70-200 where I just want a small detail but have to move back to >1.5m to get the lense to focus - then I have to crop later. The 70mm side is nice though for whole car shots wide open, at 100mm, you have to walk further back which opens up the possibility of a lost shot due to someone walking into the shot, not that the 70mm doesn't have that problem.

Thanks, that was the first 1960 Pontiac Ventura I have seen in the wild.

I sure hope the Michigan Ave cruise doesn't get rained out tomorrow!! Just washed the Mustang.

Thanks, she is doing great.

I hope your wife is well. Those are some great shots. I can't believe I missed that show, I only live about half a mile from there.

There are two more this year, August and September. Check the original post for the details. Thanks.

Jack signed a 1/24 scale Mark Martin #6 T-bird model my dad built back in the early 90s. Many of the Roush Mustangs have his signature, the owner of the car with the sig in my photos had it clearcoated.
