Okay...I "hope" it's something I'm doing...'cause I'm about to throw my CPU across the room.

I'm trying to batch several CRW files to convert them all at once. I have a directory that contains all my CRW files and they are sorted by their filename. Thus, all the photos I took first are at the top. I.e. - CRW_0001 thru CRW_0055.

Now, after I have selected/highlighted all these images and press ENTER, the Canon Converter software starts up. The problem?? The first file it grabs is not CRW_0001. It picks a random file. EVERYTIME. No matter how many times I've tried, this software keeps picking files at random. Even worse, during the entire process, it keeps picking files at random.

I can't have this...I need all my files in the order they were taken.

Help!!

Is it only converting ONE image and the quitting? If so I think maybe you do have a problem but if it is eventually processing all 55 images, what's the problem?

You might want to take a look at BreezeBrowser....

It actually seems to be a problem with Windows Explorer. Try this...

* Open a directory of CRW files (about 10 or so).
* View Explorer 'As Web Page'
* View Files as 'Details'
* Sort the files by Name or Date (should be the same).

Now, Click on the top file, hold the CTRL key down, then start clicking on each file below it. If you look to your left, you will see Windows reporting which files you are selecting. Pay attention to the order. When you get to the fifth file, notice that the order will change.

Here was my scenario...

crw_0059
crw_0058
crw_0057
crw_0056

...then I selected the fifth file, this is what I got

crw_0060
crw_0057
crw_0058
crw_0059
crw_0056

??????

NOTE: This happens when you hold SHIFT down too.

This is NOT good. I've tried it both on a Windows 98 and Windows 2000 system. Same thing. I can't believe no one has run into this problem before.

As for BreezeBrowser, I'm way ahead of you. Downloaded it this weekend. Works Great! Can't wait to get the registration key to unlock it past 20 files.

PS - Would LOVE to hear other feedback about this issue.
