Is that a new club? I thought it has always been APBA, American Power Boat Ass. Unless there are two different "clubs".

Here's a shot of the Formula boat upside down and the driver being rescued.

Just saw this. Thanks for posting it. Those rescue dudes NEVER get their pictures taken! NEVER. I'd spend money on them, but I have YET to have a PG come to me and offer a picture of us in action. Great shot.

Now that you mention it, and I don't know why, but i always take pictures of the rescue teams. I wish I could have been closer to get some better shots.I was on Belle Isle and the crash was on the Detroit shoreline pretty far away. This next shot is one of the rescue teams at the redbull air races. Sorry I went off topic of the boat races.

This thread is in trouble, :) i've got over 5000 images from 3 days. Lots of big white lenses and by the looks of things so far, a lot of us were at the same place at diff. times :D and at the same time. WE need more introductions or POTN gear. Anyway, I digress and here's my first two.

I caught the crash.. wasn't too happy with how the shots turned out. Also managed to grab a shot of the wreckage from the earlier crash in the day.

Everybody has some awesome shots. I see that the U-7 Formula Boat was the one that had the blow-over. Did anyone catch the Blow-over, frame by frame?

ABRA is the division in which, the Unlimited's are classified as being part of.
APBA is the division in which you the have Powerboats.

They are not the same. The operate together, but also operate as separate entities.
