Traveling with your equipment

What do you travel with on vacation and what do you carry it in? Do you check your bags or carry it on the plane if you are flying?

Right now I travel with two 30d's 100-400 canon L and a 16-35 canon l I also carry a small video camera as well as a small Panasonic point and shoot.

I ONLY carry on my equipment because I'm too afraid to check it.

I use a lowerpro (I think) backpack.

I would love to get some ideas from all of you as well.

- olympus xa2 - it's an old clamshell 35mm film P & S.
- rocket blower
- lenspen
- battery charger
- 3 batteries
- 4 2gb CF cards
- 5 rolls of Ilford SP2 Super B&W ISO 400 film
- 1 good book.

forgot to mention earlier - everything is carry on. i've never checked-in camera gear before.
