Yes, these were also shot with the 100 2.8 Macro ...

No more than 5 feet from the tip of the lens. That guy was very cooperative. He's a San Diego Zoo resident so he's used to people photographing him from a close range. I know, this is cheating on my part, all birds there were such show offs, flying as close to my head as possible and not being shy at all.

Yes, that lens is ... I just can't say enough good about it. It has exceeded my expectations. The day I give up this lens is the day I give up photography. 10 out of 10, it just doesn't have weak spots ...

Nice series. ... I've never used my 100mm macro for birding, but I can attest that it is my sharpest lens in my bag.
