First time using a bounce card. I actually ripped off a white piece of a box and just used that on the fly.

Edit: Lightened it up a bit. Also, I'm using the on board flash with that bounce card.

Bit underexposed, but nice work otherwise. Don't forget to use your histogram to tweak FEC when shooting with flash :)

Anyone else seeing underexposure? On my monitor it looks good. BTW, I was using the on-board flash.

I'm going to have to search about FEC adjustments, because I have no idea about that.

I can see the baby ok, but there's no highlight range ... just midtones and blacks. You can probably pull it back with levels.

Bounce card with on board flash? how, exactly?

looks a tad underexposed to me, but not too much. I would just use levels to give it a little brightness. :)

I took a ~2.5" x 4" piece of white cardboard (like the stuff from a clothes box), held it in front of the flash at a 45 degree angle (sort of wedged it there) towards the ceiling and went for it. I had never tried to bounce a flash until this actual picture, but I'm pretty satisfied with it since the pictures before it all look very flashy not to mentioned major reflections off the window in the background.

I brought up the brightness even more.
