Any issues with Quantum Qflash T2 and 40D? Connected the flash via pc terminal, flash set on auto. Set the flash 1 and 2 stops under ambient meter reading and both are grossly overexposed. No problems with EOS3 or Mamiya. Whats up?

With the Qflash in auto mode, it's the flash that is determining the exposure for you, not the camera. As long as the aperture and ISO are set correctly on the cameras, all exposures should be about the same regardless of the camera used. Did you double-check the settings on the 40D? ...Leo

My tests were outdoors in sunlight. The first two flash exposures, equal to and 1 stop under the camera setting were way over exposed and unsharp. The third flash exposure was 2 stops under and was sharper and closer to the proper exposer but still not good. I did more testing indoors of a very high contrast shot and am getting better results thus far. This camera is new to me, I suppose the camera settings may have been off. I'll will have to do more testing to be sure. Thanks for the reply
