AF problems with the Siggy, really? Have you called Sigma about sending it in for calibration if it's that far off? Sorry to hear you're having problems with it as it's a really fantastic lens.

I won't be at the Super bikes until Saturday/Sunday as I've got meetings all week at the office so no Friday practice sessions for me!

Already came back from calibration. I haven't tried it at the track w/o the TC, so that might be my next thing to try; but compared to the 70-200, it's not as dependable especially on the 30D


a couple of cameras + eyes that are starting to open + boatloads of patience

Interesting, I haven't tested it on a 30D at all just my 40D's and a 1dMKIIn. With the 40D it's surprisingly fast even with the 1.4x TC and after switching my C-FN to use the * button for AF I've found it to be so much better at holding focus in AI Servo.

great shots. I really like #4.

I'm hoping to get to the superbikes as well but not sure yet if it's in the cards. do you know what the cost for a one day general admission ticket is for Sunday?
