I just purchased a SD890is for my wife. She wanted a simple P&S to put in her purse to have with her all the time. I set it up and have face detection active. When I focus a shot with faces in it, it doesn't focus on the face 100% of the time. Sometimes it will reflect the focus box on the chest or just outside the face. Also, if there are a number of faces in the picture, it only focuses on one, it seems at random. My normal reaction (after being here awhile) is user error. We have the camera set on Special Scene Mode. Can someone help me understand how this is suppose to work as I'm used to DSLR funtions. I've done a search and come up empty.

Thanks in advance for any help!
