Well, I beat my previous record of 7,000 images on one battery. Last time I posted got a little "ya right" comments so I took a pic :)

Ice skating over 2 days... I think the cool atmosphere helped.

Regardless, being able to go all day on a battery is a great thing!

11,000 pics... Any keepers?;)
You still have another thousand pics to go before you full you run down the battery, too. I got mine as far as 3% once, and was sh£$%&ing bricks until the final whistle went.

Actually, all shot with 70-200 IS. Maybe a few keepers in there somewhere...

throw in amazing low light focus, useable 1600+ ISO, dual cards, lens micro adjustement, and maybe it is worth the $$

And this pic was taken with his often neglected step-brother...40D

I have never approached that nor have I taken that many frames over two days. I will attest the MKIII's battery life astounds me.

Were you actually taking pictures to keep or just randomly shooting? Have fun going through them :)

That's some great battery life!

I was covering an event ... 350 skaters in 3 days. Most have 2-3 events each. I was trying for 40-60 per skater. 2 rinks and two photographers = 25,000ish images to edit. Lightroom is uploading ...then the fun begins

That's a great amount. Presumably you had the LCD off throughout?

Yeah, even for the 1DMKIII, that is something.
I am not entirely sure how many clicks per charge I get...never got it down to 9% before. Maybe 3000 is my guess...perhaps more given the right conditions.

But 11,000 isn't gonna happen here.

Nope... but because the events are around 90 seconds the screen rarley has time to show anything as the buffer always has a few its working on. So it kinda was off most of the time
