Except that I expect the P-51 to be shiny bare metal & this one looks painted gray, they're pretty good. You don't have an actual HDR halo, but the bright areas of sky near the top of the AC could be an actual brightness in the sky, but they stand out to me as a HDR artifact.
Here's a way to select the AC to even those bright areas out:

Im not sure if this P51 is painted or not but it isn't a highly polished bird. I have PS just haven't had time to set down and play with it. Just getting a handle on LR.
I will ge back and adjust it a little later when I start working with PS.
Thanks for the C&C

Nicely done HDRs as Franks said. I am so glad you didn't leave them on the stove to long.

i echo franks comments...

buckets of potential there, just needs more depth imo.

deffo work on the highlights and try and bring back some of the clarity to the aircraft, although i appreciate what hdr clouds do for a shot, i personally feel the clouds are a little over bearing and take the spot light away from those beatifull machines, it just all needs levelling out in ps really, as you say though just sit down and have a fiddle with it, best way to learn:D

awesome attempt

I like them all. I think it's good HDR work. Nice job.

Nice work. I've tried HDR, but had never thought of applying it to aeroplane shots for some reason....

For the record "Ferocious Frankie" is painted grey - not bare metal. The Fighter Collections P-51D "Twilight Tear" is/was bare metal, but is currently under overhaul in California.
