I saw a few of these flitting around, some were mating, but I couldn't get close enough for good mating shots.

that link the image shown says Unknown newly emerged damselfly..so the one you took was probably a newly emerged one..hasnt coloured up yet.looks very long.iv see a close of of these on flickr..there head and eyes are very different to the ones we have here.

Guess I've just learned to look for them. I think Damsels and Dragons are so beautiful, and graceful-not to mention they are a challenge to shoot!
