viper42391.

With relationship to the first images, I think DOF was harmed in function of the approach excess. Subjects with parts projected ahead, as these, need an extensive field depth. Perhaps you have not gotten for the approach, as says, for the used lens or both.

The image 5 yes, it's very nice!

The art is the real expression of being. The more complex goes the method, less opportunities will have for the expression of the sense original of freedom. Remember, they are expressing the techniques and not making the techniques. (Bruce Lee)

Number 4 is terrific! Definitely my favourite of the lot.

I actually missed one and put a duplicate up there... so here's the other one. I'm guessing #5 was the one which is really #5 now, without the duplicate? Thanks for the replys. Yes, i would have adjusted the DOF to focus the whole thing, if I wasn't standing in an anthill. Guess that's something you learn.

I am also looking to design a watermark for my photos, and on some of these, put quotes or phrases... Any ideas?

Once you've got your watermark, make sure it's easy to apply to a batch of photos, or you'll find you never use it! As for the last (new) picture, I find the foreground pretty busy and my eyes hunt around for a subject to focus on without much luck. It's the same problem I have with all of my own photos, actually.

I just did a quick watermark in photoshop... Is there any way to create the logo and import it into the photos instead of typing it every time?

Yes, if you've got the default toolbar locations set up, beside the "history" pallet you should see "actions". Create a new action and make sure "record" is on, then repeat the process making sure to leave out any unnecessary steps. About three quarters of the things you can do in photoshop can be recorded and played back on any image -- the trouble is making them universal (for instance, getting the logo to show up in the same position on differently sized images, especially portrait vs. landscape). There should be a few tutorials online, but I recommend trying to make one first so you get the hang of it. Play it back on a few different images and see what happens.

(Edit): An action can be automatically played back on an entire folder of images, so if you manage to make a good "universal" logo action, add resize, a little sharpen, and small saturation (and maybe adding a border). Then without any trouble at all you can take jpgs straight from your camera and post them very quickly -- it'll save you hours. :)

Number 4 - the flowers in front of the lake - excellent shot, I really like the composition of that one.

I agree about the DOF in #1 and #2. #3 looks a tad underexposed and OOF. #5 looks about 1 stop overexposed to me.

#4 is the winner out of this bunch.
