Ok so the question is, will the POTN guys benefit from the whole store or just the "POTN Store" section of the entire store?

I dunno. i ordered one of the vest and the remote and they are both great. I know that I obtained good products at a good price. The benefit was mine.

I never, Not once claimed to read your post...

That is for the rebel series, not the XXD or XD series.

Opps, wrong link but that's the company I bought mine from for the 40D.

Suggestions welcome.

Just wanted to make sure no one ordered it thinking it would work on their rebel.

stowell,

I was in your position a few months ago. I finally bought a Phottix wireless/wired remote. You can use it in wireless mode with the push button transmitter or you can use it as a wired remote with the buttons on the receiver. Cheap, $35-$45, and it works flawlessly.

For those of you friends who are using the Cleon C8 for the 40D-- Have u been able to get it to work in the "remote bulb" mode? I got one of these the other day -- I can make it work in all modes except the remote bulb. I followed (I think) the instructions, but as soon as I switch the on camera piece "receiver" to "Bulb", The shutter on the camera opens-- I thought this action should take place with the push of the remote button ---!!?? HELP PLEASE---- Thanks

If you use the receiver, it´s normal. But, you can set the receiver on "On", your camera on manual and the shutter speed on bulb, then press and hold the button on the transmitter 3 seconds to open the shutter, and half press when you want to close it.

I guess I did not make it very clear. As soon as I set the receiver to bulb -- it actuates the shutter -- it does NOT wait till I even pick up the remote-- Am I supposed to push the button on the rermote BEFORE I set the receiver to bulb?

You have to set the receiver on "on", not on "bulb".

If you set the receiver to bulb it opens the shutter than closes it when you take it off bulb.
Check this link and scroll down, you will see a short video showing how the remote is used.

I found this while researching the remote as I plan on getting one myself shortly.
