Sorry for ruining such a cute face with amateur portrait skills  I never really take pictures of people, portraits have never been my strong point. These were spur of the moment, it was getting late and the sun's reflection off of the bay was very harsh and at a terribly low angle. Workin with what i got

So here, rip me apart :) i know the colors didn't work too well, but what would help?

the TLR's weren't really the culprits of tank slapping, the first year of the TLS (97) was the bike dubbed "the widowmaker" because of it's lack of a steering dampener. when the TLR's came out in 98 both models from then on out were equipped with dampeners, much helping the problem... not to say i haven't experienced my fair share of tank-slapping scares

not4you - in general, i'd take bikes over girls  but i was trying to draw more attention to the girl rather than my bike, although i'm not sure which one is better looking! which one specifically? 2 or 3? don't worry, she's already agreed to another try :)

Mitch,,a few mates had TRLs and they had some monumental tank slappers especially when gassing up over a series of ripples or giving them a handful exiting slow right handers,,never seem to happen exiting left handers..

They replaced the OEM steering damper with an Olhin and problem solved..

i'd love to pick up a new steering dampener and rear shock, but unfortunately college + bills = no extra money. i did manage to save up the $ for a set of pazzo levers a month or two ago, and i must say, HUGE difference, i'm in love! i've heard that with a new dampener and shock it's like a whole different bike!

the ohlins are ajdustable, aren't they? the GPR's are also supposed to be very nice.

These aren't bad -- had the same question on why the bike gets cropped. Work on framing and you're on your way...in the last shot, she's got a little "Katie Holmes" thing goin on.

I see your point about the focus being on the model, but in both 2 and 3, since she is not centred it seems odd that the side of the shot where she is situated is being cropped. Perhaps in #2 it is this way to avoid the SUV in the background, but I don't like having the tail cropped in #2 because the rest of the bike is in the shot. In #3 the majoriy of the bottom of the bike is out of shot so it is understandable to have the crop being horizontal but again, it doesn't fit for me that the tail is missing off the side. Having said that, this is a minor detail that is more to do with my OCD than the images themselves. Overall they are really good captures with a pretty model and in a nice setting.
