I am new to the forum, and new to photograpahy really. I just took my Canon XSi out of the box a couple days ago. I experimented with it for a couple of hours taking macro pics of my diamonds (small obsession) and flowers. Here are my first pics taken with the camera. One of the pics I set the camera to B&W!

Thanks Sugarman, bought your share of diamonds huh? I have a little collection, but my "baby" is the 2 carat solitaire shown in the pics. I can't decide if I like diamonds or photography more...lol:lol:

You've got it all wrong! You are supposed to be interested in the diamonds, your husband in the photography!

Great shots by the way.

PhotoGuru13, I removed four of your attachments, POTN image posting rules only allow two attachments. You may want to re-read https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=194511 to see your options.
We are glad you're here and look forward to many more posts, those look really good for such a short time with your new XSi.

Welcome to the forum - lovely first shots.
You need to host your pics somewhere like Flickr and then link them if you want to post more than 2 pics.

Thanks Kevin, I did read the "2 pic" limit, however, it slipped my mind, I got so excited that I actually got my pics to upload. Sorry. Thanks for the comments.

Thanks Gary...I placed the rings on a table made with some sort of plexiglass I think. I would LOVE to find a big piece of that to take photos with. I can see a naked newborn placed on a black sheet of plexiglass, the reflection would be a great touch!
