Except for the halo, I like the last one a lot.
Not feeling the love for #1, & I can't help feeling that there should be something like a Model T in it at the right.

The bright glow that surrounds the train/sky border. It happens during post processing most commonly if you overdo the shadow/highlights tool or the 'clarity' slider in the raw converter.

Thanks for explaining that to me, but you guys must have really awesome monitors (or mine is really poor), cause I can't see one in the last shot.

Rhil, if you haven't calibrated your monitor. That might be one reason your not seeing it. The other reason could be like you that my eyes took a minute to see what a trained eye picks up very quickly!

Your photos are very nice either way.

Cool train...definitely not what I was expecting to see for a Railway Express photo. The first shot could benefit from a good crop...removing most of the clutter on the right hand side of the image. If you have more trains...serve them up....we are short on train shots of late!

Cheap Compaq! Look along the top edge of the engine.
Try this selection method to keep the changes where you want them:
Selecting areas in PS.

Actually it's a dell.. :p I actually thought someone was going to complain about the lens flare in the first one(which I decided I liked)... and wasn't expecting the "halo" critique instead. Thanks for the link!
