I sympathize with you
that is an enormous amount for the apartment
I hope the college fees are not what they are over here and somehow the cost of the apartment will balance what they could have been, expensive and all as it is.

be paying his own way, too. Thank the Lord for student loans. All I can contribute is $10 a week to

I'd like to see whats at the bottom of that light shaft. Actually, nevermind. I see enough of these in the old buildings i go through. Not a pretty picture.

Years (many) ago, when my daughter was at Boston University, the story was that you could buy your student an apartment when he/she was a freshman and sell it for enough profit when they graduated to cover all four year's college expenses. I couldn't afford to find out if that was true or not.

Sorry, jgbeam, no retractions allowed here. You're right, not pretty. The building next door with
no back wall was also pretty 'interesting." But, actually, I love N.Y.C. for just these types of attractions. I like stuff that's different, and N.Y. definitely fits that bill. I'll have to ask son Luke
if he's considered selling his apartment, although I'm pretty sure he didn't buy his right to move into it.

Still paying off my share of my sons (5) year college he's paying the other half. Sure isn't cheap.. But hey maybe he's my answer to retirement. his payback for my half.

Pretty clean down there, Rick. You can actually see the bottom of the shaft and, furthermore, the drain seems to be working. Wonder if that receiver still works. Nah, probably didn't survive the fall... Those bars...attempted break in? Break out?

The more I look at these . . . the more I am starting to like them. Color and texture have a certain draw for me, but then I don't get out much. Nice shots.
