Hello Guys,

Need some good advise and help.. I have been in the photography seen for almost a year now.. I started off shooting with my first DSLR Canon 400D.. I recently upgraded to a 40D and I am very happy with my gear :)

The one thing I want to learn and better myself is to read and learn about "metering", "exposure" and "how to use my 40D on manual mode"...

Are there any good books or videos or even websites you guys could please help me out ..

Many Thanks in advance... :)

GEAR: Canon 5D MKII | C[COLOR=black]anon 50mm f/1.4 | Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L | Canon 580EX II Flash.

You could try with the sticky threads...

Oh, and I'll recommend Bryan Peterson's "Understanding Exposure" as well.

"how to use my 40D on manual mode"...

Book? Most of what we think you need to know we've put in the "Sticky"s. (Yeah, I'll get arguments on that!) ;)

Notice the background change when you use his "Shutter and Aperture" settings!

First set the f-stop & shutter speed you need. Then adjust the ISO.
Need an exposure crutch?

This shows how the subject can affect the exposure & why manual keeps me worry free:

Have you thought about making your own book? // Need an exposure crutch?
