Took a weekend trip to the Cape. Couldn't go without my camera. I loved taking the pictures. But for some reason I processed these, and realized I did horrible, so I processed them again.

C&C please!

THanks!

A nice series of Hyannis. Any reason you don't leave the EXIF in? :)

Ignorance on how to keep the data with the image? I think I'm loosing it on either the transfer in or out of Lightroom. Is there some sort of option I should look for? I'll check the TIFF files when I get home too. Maybe it's when I convert to JPEG.

I know for sure, if you export using "Save for web", it will strip it out. In all PhotoShop versions, use "Save As" and it will be retained. If you can and if you have no reason to cut it, leave it in, it does help anyone with an EXIF viewer how to learn and cuts down on some of the "which lens" questions. And best of all, it only adds about 1K to the file size. :)

Thanks! I'll see if the TIFF files have it. If not I'll see if I can pull it from Lightroom

It's nice to know what the setting were, but I didn't expect you to go get it all and post it. You do know about EXIF viewers for the browser right (external link)? Sorry if that's too simple. Great little tools. Mine has put me light years ahead on my learning curve, by seeing what others are doing. Great way to learn. :)

Ha! They were all on the TIFF's, so I thought it would be easier to just add them then re-save them. Guess I was wrong!

By the way, I checked out your website, those Bald Eagle shots are AMAZING!

Well, next time, just leave it in the images, and get a viewer for yourself. ;)

Thanks. Glad you like the gallery. :) We only get them here in town when all the rest of the mid-west is frozen solid. We have a couple of spots on the river, one right in downtown, that stays open. And since Bald Eagles mostly only eat fish, they have to find open water to eat. This of course brings them to our area in fairly large numbers. Most of those were shot at 22 or more below zero in high winds along the Mississippi. One, the flare shot, even made it into the first POTN coffeetable book. :)

I always look at the settings! I can't for the life of me figure out what to use, its either under or over, so it helps to see what others are using. I like your images, the first one especially. I love the water and seeing the reflection. It looks like I could reach out and touch it.
