Which Studio Gel

I know TMR Design had commented on Bogen Vivid 12x12" gels being good but was curious if anyone else had experience with other brands (or both) and could give comments. I already have a swatchbook from Rosco coming in a few months but specifically am looking for comments on gels for studio strobes. Need a general purpose starter pack to be used on white and black seamless for the most part. Thanks.

I use AB's because I have their frame to hold the gel and grid togother. How do the D-Lite hold the gel anyway? I was thinking that size of the gel has to be bigger than the reflector, right?

Lee makes really great gels that stand up to the heat and intensity of hot lights. I have never been let down by them!

Is the Lee Master Location Filter Pack - 36 Sheets what you would suggest?

The master pack is full of everything from color correction gels (CTO,CTB,Plus Green), diffusion, ND gels, textured gels (these shape light), and a few colored gels aka party gels.
If you are looking for gels for backdrop/background purposes only then you should look into buying a color effect pack that only contains colored gels. This will be much cheaper than the master pack and you won't be left with extra gels that might not get put to good use.
If you think that you could use the diffusion and all of the other novelty gels then by all means get the master pack, otherwise you can buy smaller cheaper packs or even individual colored gels.
