My current favorite is the Seagate Free Agent line. They don't have fans so they run nearly silent. They do get pretty warm though... and the design is really "modern" looking so if aesthetics are important, this may not be your drive. Bryant.

Another option would be to add more internal drives. I use three currently, plus backup to external drives. 7D MKII ■ 10-22 ■ 15-85 ■ 28-135 ■ Σ 50-150 ■ 70-200 f4L ■ 100-400L ■ 580EX II
