As photographer of the year, you should be able to sell a few shots :p Don't worry, I've never sold any picture...

Mooooooooo, so back from hols :D. Good weather, but no air-con in hotel, and ill kids :( - still was nevertheless nice.

Ed, it seems that I am following in your footsteps. I bought a 1DMKII last night. So the 40D is likely on its way out as well as my 17-70. Here is hoping I like the 1DMKII and not want to switch to a 5D. ;)

To motivate you to sell more ...

If only you were closer to me... I might be getting a 17-70 soon (still partially undecided...)

And congrats on the MKII

Being that there are only 2 seasons, I'd say you're doing well.

Trailer for 3: wrong one, real one below.

Out in the U.S. in September.

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com …LwEFi6ddE&feature=related (external link)

Oh, I dunno, but I thought Season 3 had already started, as season 2 was cut short due to the strike.

woot! It really is an amazing camera - if you can't find the 1DM2 version of the "Making the most of your 1 series camera" pdf, I can email it to you - it took a lot of trawling to find it, but it's really useful! The way I have it set up now, is I either use ROF and centre point to help focus along, or have 9 focus points, and use the quick control dial to choose focus point - really works well.

Thanks Didier. The 17-70 has been a great lens. Shame it won't work as well on the 1D.

That PDF would be great. I downloaded the manual last night but haven't read through it yet. Been helping my wife get her work computers going.
