I don't want to say anything now... too scared. :p

I actually had the impression people here were joking around a lot.

we do joke, like I said, it's a friendly place. We just don't joke at the expense of others, more joking with one another. If I misunderstood you, I apologize. And we'll just move on.

People here do joke a lot....and everyone is welcome to....but sometimes the typed word doesn't translate quite as well as the spoken word. Not to mention it has only been a short while since the last character in a "ninja" costume made an appearance here and managed to piss everyone off in a matter of about 45 seconds. Take a few seconds to get to know the folks before you start ripping on them....thanks. :D

Ok cool man. I wasn't pointing at you at all. I have been wasting my time here too (well just for today) so I was really pointing at myself. :D

You're lucky I wasn't drinking anything. Otherwise, you'd have to pay for a new laptop

Thought you might appreciate that!

did you guys see that someone else had THE SAME problem (not with an 8gb though) with a silicon power card and a mk2? That's so interesting to me because I've never had a problem with these cards. I'm sure it's the card though, now. It must just not be working right with the older bodies because it works great on the new ones.

Sorry about that guys. I don't want to irritate anyone here. I have a bunch of insults I could throw out in jest... but like you said, I don't really know any of you so... I'll just keep my mouth shut.

Oh and I wasn't really ripping on anyone. Really.

I must have been on a break when that happened.

I vaguely remember someone coming in here and ticking everyone off and then leaving in a huff saying we were rude (after they'd been so awful)...it was so strange.

I think I will stick to my SanDisk cards....the only time I ever had an issue with one turned out to be a Vista issue and not a card issue. Guess that is why I stick to my Canon batteries too....

Sounds like the old Fram oil filter commercial..."You can pay me now or you can pay me later....the choice is yours."

Hmm, actually, I remember something like that happened a month or two ago. With most people, it's misunderstanding, but sometimes they're just not the most pleasant people.

Oh yes, and this is my preferred first stop for asking advice - definitely prefer it to the gear forums. The people who hang out here seem to be knowledgeable and friendly, and actually place performance of gear over brand etc.

well I ordered some sandisk extremeIII's and they'll be here today (just 4gb ones the 8gb are still rather spendy) and I'm hoping they work fine. All my other cf cards work great with it but I have no 8gb now that will and it fills up the 4gb in 200 shots. (most of the time that's fine but at a wedding I'll shoot 800-1200 easy)

Anyway... I might see you guys in the other threads. Come visit me in the lens forum sometime. :D

Peace and have a good party. :D

See, some ninjas can be actually quite nice. :D

I actually prefer arguments and debates... this place is too civilized for me. ;)

About a month ago....we had another person in a "ninja" mask....white....come in and just start a whole bunch of crap....and then got all bent out of shape because he was asked to tone things down a bit. It wasn't pretty. This is a fun place....you can learn more here in a day than the rest of the forum combined...all we ask is that everyone play nice in this sandbox.
