Nice shrooms Wooly. They look huge. Hour 3, still no batteries. I still feel it isn't the camera, but the person behind it...while the gearheads can argue sharpness, noise and other nonsense until the cows come home...the sharpest, clearest, least noisy image of crap is still just a shot of crap. Tons of famous art has flaws in it...doesn't mean it isn't any good though, just means that it was touched by the human element. People that know me call me Dan

It will jump on you every once in a while. Almost like the gyro gets fooled or something. You will be composed on a subject, the OS is working fine, and then it jumps and locks back on. I haven't missed any shots due to it yet though as it is very quick to correct itself. Mike, The Keeper of the Archive

That's interesting, but if it doesn't affect your shooting, it should be fine. How's the IQ (first hand I mean...you hear a lot but what are you thinking now that you've got it in your hands). Cute pool shot of Haley too. .. It's Permie's world, we just live in it! ~CDS

Cute pool shot of Haley too. ![]() The IQ is OK so far, but I haven't had any decent light to shoot yet. All my subjects have been in the shade with lots of foliage around. I am taking Haley to feed some ducks after work today so I hope to get some higher shutter speeds and lower ISO shots with better light. Woolburr wrote in post #5929596 OK Mike....is she getting ready to laugh or cry? Neither. She just makes quirky faces sometimes.

I had a hard time finding much to shoot with it though. Everything seemed to be on notice that I was coming for them. I need some more time with it, and some better light to really see if I will like it. Anyway here are a couple pics. All shot JPEG, of course, and only some minor PP on a couple, most cropped, resized. Birdie
Kitty (missing her left eye from a cat fight a few months ago)
More Kitty (probably me fav from the day)
Birdie being caught by large hand
