You know David, I was thinking about that...how we probably all disagree on our choice for camera bodies (which is probably why we all own something different) but it is nice to be able to say what we like and dislike w/o people taking it as an attack.

Nice shrooms Wooly. They look huge.

Hour 3, still no batteries.

I still feel it isn't the camera, but the person behind it...while the gearheads can argue sharpness, noise and other nonsense until the cows come home...the sharpest, clearest, least noisy image of crap is still just a shot of crap. Tons of famous art has flaws in it...doesn't mean it isn't any good though, just means that it was touched by the human element.

The mushrooms were huge...

I diverted your battery shipment.;)

Permie,

Did you see my post about the quirk? Scroll to the bottom.

I've never had an issue with color. I thought color had more to do with the lens than the camera. After all these colors are from an XT.

It will jump on you every once in a while. Almost like the gyro gets fooled or something. You will be composed on a subject, the OS is working fine, and then it jumps and locks back on. I haven't missed any shots due to it yet though as it is very quick to correct itself.

:p:p he's SO late today

I really think that people should just get what they feel most comfortable with. When I'm comfortable/not frustrated, I produce my best work.

no Mike, I missed it. Sorry. That's interesting, but if it doesn't affect your shooting, it should be fine. How's the IQ (first hand I mean...you hear a lot but what are you thinking now that you've got it in your hands). Cute pool shot of Haley too. :)

The IQ is OK so far, but I haven't had any decent light to shoot yet. All my subjects have been in the shade with lots of foliage around. I am taking Haley to feed some ducks after work today so I hope to get some higher shutter speeds and lower ISO shots with better light.

Lisa, did you see these shots?

I got a few shots with the new 150-500 today. I had a hard time finding much to shoot with it though. Everything seemed to be on notice that I was coming for them. I need some more time with it, and some better light to really see if I will like it.

Anyway here are a couple pics. All shot JPEG, of course, and only some minor PP on a couple, most cropped, resized.

Sweet ass bokeh in this one!

Lisa, did you see these shots?

yes, I meant to mention them too. I really like the first bird shot and the shot with the cat's back to you. The colors seem very good and nice bokeh too. Do you feel it has a learning curve? Is it hard to hold still?
