About a month ago....we had another person in a "ninja" mask....white....come in and just start a whole bunch of crap....and then got all bent out of shape because he was asked to tone things down a bit. It wasn't pretty. This is a fun place....you can learn more here in a day than the rest of the forum combined...all we ask is that everyone play nice in this sandbox.

Yeah, cool. Thanks for that. :) I'll remember not to suggest anything about others... man it's like being in school.

The other forums are quite fun too. You can (lightly) insult someone and get away with it.

Good place for ninjas.

Insults are strongly frowned upon here...yet good natured barbs and friendly witticisms are frequently traded fast and furious among the regulars....once you learn the group dynamics...it makes playing along that much easier. Like I said before...you can learn more here than any other spot on the forum....:D

I don't want to say anything now... too scared. :p

I actually had the impression people here were joking around a lot.

Obviously you've been given advice by folks.... but my comment will be is you don't know me well... don't joke with me. And that ME can be a global me... you don't know any of us well... don't go making jokes until you've gotten to know folks here... Sure we have fun, but we've taken the time to get to know each other (IRL & online for some of us). Heck I've been a part of this merry band since January, and I still choose wisely who I joke with and what I joke about... So take a step back before you joke and get to know us first....

No it's not like being in school... it's called growing up and acting like an adult. Get to know us, then you can joke around.... when you know us better....

Maybe a bit less ninja and a tad more photographer would help. Post a picture or something.

I came here seeing others joshing each other and I thought, OK this is a good place for some light jokes. Seeing you/we all seem to post a lot of silly things here. I was joking with you (woolburr) a page or 2 ago about boosting post counts... so I though a comment about post count will be OK. Turns out it's an insult.

I didn't mean it that way, I even put in the emoticons, how could I tell it was going to be taken that way?

Know what I mean? :)

you know, I don't know why people bash that lens. It's totally functional. It has a bit of CA issues (but nothing like the 75-300 III that one's practically neon in high contrast) and it's a bit soft wide open but so are a lot of lenses...I've seen some really good shots with it.

I'll leave it subscribed to. :) I'll not be a jerk like those WHITE ninjas... that clan can be annoying. ;)

You'll notice that most of us have names here. It's that kind of place. Joking is fine, but it is based on familiarity that has developed over months, and in some cases, years. That will come to you in time if you give it (and us) a chance.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Sorry man. I am just too concerned about stepping on toes. Not my kind of place.

I'm not into getting personal on the net. Just me.

Like I said, not my kind of thread. :D

Have fun dudes. :D
