I'll take some of that! It was 105 here yesterday and should be 103 today. and we don't even have any pretty scenery.

I got a chuckle yesterday while I was out driving for biz stuff. I was on several Farm to Market roads that had little signs posted "scenic drive." I think in Texas, scenic is equated to curvy. Pretty much flat ground, but roads were curvy. Of course, the only trees were right at the roadside at most of the curves. . . everything else is pretty much bare pasture, cleared land for new housing when the market picks up and powerlines. I was mind numb after the first 30 minutes and drooling by the time I got home 5 hours later.

I'm supposed to meet Chris later today and we're going over to the fair to enter our photos.
Problem...I'm in my jams (sleep pants/tank top) and DON'T feel like changing...think anyone at the fair would mind?

Which one, the State fair?

Up north Lacrosse area has the bluff's and is very scenic. Milwaukee is just brewery's and a polluted lake we all drink out of. Our local ski hill is an old landfill they covered with a bunch of dirt, my wife got a big kick out of that one when she moved from hilly PA.

I remember a mind numbing day 20 years ago when I drove from El Paso to Houston...

Customer's with no service?

Not really - just issues... but they all came at once.

I can't believe you have to submit them so early -- a lot of counties haven't even had their fair yet....

Oh my. That sounds even worse! Never been to El Paso, but I don't care for Houston at all.

I still have two weeks to decide if I have anything I want to enter at the North Texas state fair. Probably not.

North Texas State Fair? They don't have one for the whole state? I know the state is huge, but it is only once a year...
