GINORMOUS MOOOOOO!!!

I just realized that I was about to hit 20K. Didn't prepare any mushy speeches or well-thought thank yous.

Suffice it to say that I appreciate each of you very much and am very grateful to each of you for your guidance and friendship throughout the past 3 years.

My skills are light years ahead of where they would be had I not found this forum.

MkII report.... the camera is big but do-able. These were taken with my 70-200/2.8 lens. Only cropped and one run of USM.

Very nice flutterby, Mo. Does Aaron mind being on the target side of the new camera? Ayden's beginning to understand that he has to wait until I'm done taking the shot before he can run over to see it. If I tell him I haven't taken it yet, he'll wait until I give him the ok.

Congrats, Chris!

Looking back through my shots, trying to decide what I was going to enter in the fair did a lot to remind me how much I've grown. It's also reminded me that I wouldn't have come so far without some great help from a huge number of folks at POTN.

Guess we're not so smart...

We though that by making him a mod, he'd slow down a little.

Guess that backfired.

Good job, Chris. You've been a great contributor.

So, TD, are you still listening to the little voice in your head -- I mean car? You got the 750, right? I wasn't really impressed by how the trail systems worked for car navigation, so I've started looking around at the car systems a lot more.

Uh oh, now you've done it....you just tapped a rant nerve.

Yes, Jill is here. However, she left on a bit of a vacation and her British cousin, Daniel, is filling in. Well, guess what?! When that idiot sees: Lancaster DR, he pronounces it Lancaster Doctor!! What the heck is that??!!

We'd tried to look at one in a store (I think it was the 500 series?) over the weekend. For some reason, that the guy behind the counter could not figure out, the system thought for sure we were in the middle of Kansas.

Now, I can understand that there is likely to be some inaccuracy in a GPS system, but placing me in Kansas instead of Washington is just a little more than I think I'd be willing to accept. ;) It also made it difficult to put in a route to a known location and see how it handled it.

It was likely in a demo mode -- GPS signals and stores made out of steel and concrete do not work too well.
