This guy isn't going to have any friends on here: https://photography-on-the.net …php?p=6130968#post6130968

Business is not about making friends, it is about making money, and crushing your competitors...

It works for the larger corporations, doesn't it...

Oh boy! Good thing I don't moderate that section of the forum.

Will be an interesting read in time, surely

I have to wonder what's the catch?

You get what you pay for....in this case, maybe some piss poor photos, but you have to print them all out yourself...

Oh, whew! I was afraid he'd gone postal over his 1D3 and we'd have to get Pekka to ban him!

Has certain . . . possibilities . . . although I was thinking of bringing back the tin-foil hats to keep your wigwam

ROFL....on both counts. I can't believe that Chuck Westfall hasn't gotten back to him yet.

I was only thinking someone saying "he won't make many friends"...

I am sure he would probably use Step 2 to <charge stupid money to do printouts> to make his money...or charge for cropping and amending photos...

like buying a car, you get a standard model, then you fork out an arm and a leg for all the additional crap that you wished came standard with the initial price..

me either actually

People can say what they want (several have made the comment that pro's with lives don't spend their time on forums and canon will not be hurt by a forum admin's commdents)...even pro's do their research BEFORE they buy. If there is documented evidence on a popular canon site that canon not only does not stand behind their products, they also treat their customers like cr@p, they will think twice before buying..

Hey....if you can be happy with that...dunno why you would want two FF bodies...

As recently as eight years ago full-frame bodies were all I had. Of course, they were all film. I had an EOS 1 (external link) ( you can really see the lineage of the Series 1 digitals here) and a couple of A2s (external link). We never had the choices available now in crop bodies or fps. The progress that technology has made since 2000 is amazing. There have been more new cameras released in the last 10 years than in the previous 30.

there's no way I'm giving up the ds2...I love that camera  funny huh...loving an older camera that much but it just works with my style. I can't go to nikon for the long end...it's just too expensive.

You're right, it's best to stay. If I sold my M3 and then tried to get another one (if I wasn't happy) there's a good chance I'd get one that maybe had issues...no point in messing with that.

okay...sanity has returned.

Good thought.

I could never see the philosophy behind having two different systems with different lens mounts. Even back in my Minolta manual focus (external link)days, I always had more than one body of the same type and mount. It meant less lenses to worry about.

What seems to be getting overlooked is this...While Canon doesn't make a huge percent of their profit from the pro market...if every pro decided to jump ship....odds are fairly good that there would be a tremendous trickle down effect...especially via the forums. It only makes sense that if you aren't going to take care of your pro market...you sure as hell aren't going to give a damn about lowly consumers. Not a good way to run any kind of show.

I'm glad I don't have Jake's problem. Canon is just tormenting me. My camera repairs have shown complete since Friday. Complete, but not yet shipped.

Ship it, already!!
