Hi, Tim.

I have the backdrop stand from Trademe/hshe017 at NZ$260. Sturdy stands, and 2 to 4 crossbar sections. H 1–3m; W 1.8–3.7m, rated 15Kg. I also borrowed the type on Trademe at about $170, rated 6Kg. It's ok, and I used it for a backdrop and the heavier duty support for hanging some quilt subjects.

I bought a black and a white kingsize sheets from Briscoes at $25 each. Not perfect, but a manageable price.

I tried retiring, but gave it up - it's a dead end

I already offered to sell the bastard mine with three backdrops for a little less than that but he didn't take me up on it. :p

Nothin' wrong with walls, tim. Although they tend to be a little less portable, I use them as reflectors on occasion too. :)

Hehe, I just decided not to get a backdrop, they seem too much of a pain in the ass. Plus I couldn't miss a chance to piss you off eh? :p

Yeah walls aren't so portable, but they're pretty easy to find most places you go ;)

Yeah yeah. Lucky for you the crap's still in my van at a service station so I couldn't have wasted my time on ya anyway. ;) :p

It's an Interfit backdrop support (linked earlier in the thread) a white, black, and wine (reddish marrooonish ie mucho classy) muslins. The only one I used is the white one, and that was maybe once or twice.

I also have a partial roll (probably about 80% remaining) of white seamless paper and a damn near full roll (probably about 95% remaining) of black seamless I could let go as well. Both rolls are the 54" wide variety.

If you're interested, I can't get my van back until tomorrow so I won't be able to weigh it all up for shipping until at least then.

^ Interesting... I'll definitely have to think about that, as the last piece of my studio puzzle is the background situation. Thanks!

Yep just let me know. Just FYI, I won't part it out even though I bought it all separately simply because the muslins are useless to me if I don't have the background support. I wouldn't expect you to buy the seamless though since it might be awkward to ship and I can always let my nephews color on it. lol.
