I know that Canon says that they created this screen with a special coating but still want to use a screen protector. Do you think that a universal screen protector from somewhere like Best Buy will work fine.

A little pricey, but they work great. Universal ones should be fine, just be sure they don't leave any residue if you remove them. 300 HS
