Hi all,

I just noticed this system on AlienBee's website. The systems seems to be able to trigger any flashing unit including their AlienBees setup.

Does anyone know of how realiable these systems are ? Price-wise, they are very competitive and definitely cheaper than PocketWizard and Skyports.

Since AlienBees flashes can trigger each others, should I buy 1 transmitter and 1 receiver ?

If I want to trigger my 580EX II, shouldn't I buy the battery powered receiver as well ?

So the total would be :

1 Transmitter
1 Normal receiver (for the AlienBees flash unit)
1 Battery power receiver (for the 580EX)

Would that be okay ?

If yes, then their price is definitely cheaper than the known brands, so what's the catch ? :)

Thanks

I personally would get all battery powered receivers, that way you are not limited to only using them with ABs. I just put my order in

1 Trans
2 Batt receivers

They have been tested and seem to work amazing. My work is also looking to pick up about 30 sets pending the other set we have coming in passes my likings....So I say go for it, 3 year warranty, and customer service thats amazing. If they don't work for you send them back within 30days!

Also for the longest time PW was they only trusted wireless system out there, now AB, Skyports, Calumet, and Radio Poppers are going to be driving down the coast and putting out great products
