I'm referring to everything besides the 1-series bodies with weather sealing. What do you guys do to clean them?

Why does everybody list their gear here?

I use a rocket blower & wet swabs to clean the sensor and inside the chamber, and canned air to clean everywhere else.

I also have electronic wipes for the exterior of the body & lenses after an extra dusty race.

bannedPermanent ban

Slightly wet micro fiber cloth for outside.
Blower, soft, clean brush, lens cleaner fluid and tissue for lenses and filters.
Rocket blower for mirror and chamber, plus Copperhill’s Pec-pads and E2 solution for sensor.

What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

I shoot at the shore on the regular and salty air, wind blown water, not much sand im pretty careful, gets on the body always...I usually dont worry while on location, I just wipe the buttons if they get his, make sure the cf door and batter door are fine and go about my business...

when I get home I just take a paper towel soak it wring it all the way out and wipe the camera body down buttons and everything...even around the lips of the doors and then let it dry.

not hard at all

i like using the 80/20% distilled water/rubbing alcohol treatment. cleans up any muck quite well. use with caution, and no batteries in camera.

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

For the exterior, a household vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment and "Endust for Electronics" or similar, or just a slightly dampened rag, except for the LCD screens and any optics of course.

LCD screens are cleaned with either a micro fiber cloth, my shirt cuff or my shirt tail, whichever is handier.

All optics (including viewfinder window) are dusted with a soft brush first, then cleaned with a micro fiber cloth. Occasionally a little lens cleaner is needed on the micro fiber cloth, to remove any oily smears or salt spray from the ocean.

Interior, sensor... vacuum or bulb blower to remove loose dust. Dust Aid kit for the sensor. Occasionally need to remove a more stubborn speck from the sensor very gently with a fresh, clean micro fiber cloth on a Starbucks wooden stir stick.

I never clean the mirror or focus screen myself, besides a puff of air from a bulb blower. The mirror/focus screen job, and a dirtier or "smeared" sensor, I'll put in the hands of a trained and professional camera tech for a proper cleaning. (Locally if the camera is out of warranty, Canon Service if it's still in warranty.)

6hp power washer. Make sure you use the vinyl siding soap, it gets the nose grease off the LCD the best.

Canon will do cleanings no matter what for free.
Just bring it in (if you can - I can ;)) and sit and wait 30-40 minutes?
Its like the camera body is your child and your bringing it to the doctor :)

I live 10 minutes from the Irvine Service Center, and my 40D is still under warranty.
I had just shot a really dust off road race so I figured I would save myself the trouble and the sensor swabs.
So I dropped my camera off on afternoon on the way home and picked it up the next day. The sensor was still dirty, and they didn't clean the outside at all.

Also after leaving the camera without the battery all my settings were reset.

So for me it's not worth the trouble to have Canon clean it again.

This is what I do and I DO NOT recommend this in general - but it works for me. Since we're talking about weather sealing, I presume the OP is only interested in cleaning the exterior.

Now the only part of the exterior I usually need to clean is around the shutter button and the back (due to oil). Taking the back as an example, I stand the camera so that the lens is facing the sky and the back is facing the ground. Then I simply smudge some soap around and then finally some water to wash off the soap. The water never really gets in due to gravity and I quickly wipe the back dry with a towel afterwards. If I'm not in a hurry I'll leave the camera in this position on a table for a few hours so the water droplets around the buttons have time to dry.

Yeah, it's pretty crude but it works extremely well and I've never damaged any of my bodies doing it.
