My cat... who doesn't like to be photographed.

IMAGE: http://bmaps.zenfolio.com/img/s6/v145/p483622705-5.jpg

I loved his eyes in this photo but his fur is very similar in color so I decided to go with black/white, except for the eyes to highlight them a little more.

What do you think?

I like it. Not usually sure about selective coloring ... but I think it works well in this shot. And a handsome cat too.

*chuckles* He looks as if saying "Take that thing outta my face else you'll regret it!"

A little bit like my Spot ;c) he's not too fond of posing either (unless he's hungry and in such: bribable) ;)

I love the slight distortion in this shot. It undermines his expression and I also think the sc works well here :c) Gorgeous eyes indeed.

Zeanana - that is pretty much exactly what he is saying. He is up in his kitty palace / tower thing and he gets pretty feisty up there. I was surprised I got in as close as I did for this shot without drawing more attention.

I love it! How did you isolate they eyes to keep them in color?

I believe there are many ways to do it. I used PS CS2.

I am a huge newbie when it comes to photoshop, so there may be much better ways of doing the same thing:

Made a copy of the background layer.
Converted background layer to B/W.
Make sure the color copy layer is the top most layer and then erase it leaving only the colors/areas you want.

not too difficult.
