Since yesterday, I have been on the topic of retailers. So, now I will share with you why I have removed J&R ( jr.com ) from my list of preferred retailers for photography supplies. I have been a long time buyer from J&R. I have bought camera bodies, lenses, etc. They used to be great. Unfortunately, things have changed.
1. Their 30 Day Warranty is now 2 weeks.
2. They doubled their shipping charges.
3. Their Customer Service has become unresponsive and surly.
4. It took a week for them to ship me an order on an in stock item, and I live in NYC.
Fortunately, there are still a number of good ones out there. I just added 17th Street Photo to my list.
