I don't think marriage is a PIA...I love being married. And like everything else, owning a home has as many pluses as negatives.

I'm with you... :D

I love being married as well but you have to admit there are times when it IS a pain. Two people working together doesn't always go smoothly.

Maybe it's different for us. We've been married for almost 24 years, and spent a better part of it actually working together too. At first it was difficult but anymore, I'd rather be with him than anyone else. There are so many things that we just naturally respond to w/o having to debate or ask or whatever...we're just comfortable with one another...so no, in absolute honesty, I don't think it's a pain.

Ugh. I hate that. I'm very sensitive to perfume, also. I hate it when a woman who smells like she took a bath in the crap walks by me. I can't breathe for the next half hour. Perfume and cologne should be banned.

Its worse for me, actually. Strong chemical odors (especially certain perfumes) give me a migrane. I'd take sniffley sneezes any day over that.

I have a special attachment on my wet/dry vac for such an occasion.

Nope... Didn't see by boss* there.

nice one, permagrin....we just celebrated our 5th anniversary yesterday...hasn't been a pain at all. We're just happy we're together, simple as that :) Sure we have arguments, who doesn't....As the years add on, I develop a more advanced system of selective hearing ;)

I've been with Ali for three years now and we've never ever had an argument.

There are times (every four weeks, it seems), when things can get a little frustrating for a couple of days, but it soon smooths over. We just have personalities that seem to gel well.

She talks, I listen (on occasion). It works.

Congratulations on your anniversary! (you're over the hardest years now you know :) )

It's true. We still usually have a couple (I call them our bi-annual) arguments. Usually doozies too but other than that, life is just life and it's better to enjoy with someone you care about.

little funny story...

The cable guy was just here hooking up our cable. He was a nice looking young man of latin coloring...and Calypso would have gladly gone home with him! She's usually very shy (hides when Chris comes here) but was all over this guy. No kidding. She was standing up so he'd pick her up and cuddling against him...it was so funny. I told him I'd lock her up but he was enchanted...I've NEVER seen her like that before.:lol:

The only argument we've had is about the net curtains at my flat in Reading. I wanted them there as I like my privacy (especially when living in the twon centre and being overlooked by anyone who walked past in the street).

The argument reached a head when I simply grabbed the curtains and ripped them out of the window.

Good Morning :D

Thanks everyone for your continued well wishes from my dad and our family.

Hope things continue progressing well. Certainly sounds a whole lot more encouraging than just a couple of days ago.

Puck LOVES any maintenance/cable/plumber or what not person that comes in the house. Rubbing and purring and meowing all the time. He is a generally friendly guy but will bite after he has been petted enough by me or our family, strangers however can pet him till he drops.
