Lisa, how did the fair contest go? I am sure it is posted here somewhere but I am like 365 days behind.

Terrible Jamie. For me anyway. They graded my photos like snapshots of gulls on posts. to them, I suck.

Sorry to hear that. You don't suck though.
I used some of the shots in your gallery to show Pam why you don't use a tripod at a rodeo.

Take a look at this. What will we do for the shot? (external link)

Why did the seventh one down remind me of our resident mouse?

Same here with the wife. I've tried to tell her stuff that goes on here, and even asked her if she wanted to join as she was interested in photography before...but she passes all the time.

I even created a login for her on our local site and she never uses it.

Believe me. There will always be something that needs replaced, repaired or removed  I don't care if I never own again. I would be ecstatic to call the landlord to fix every damn thing :)

I'm sooo with you on that!!! With my hubby gone all the time it falls to me to take care of ALL the house upkeep and I'm sick sick sick of it!!!!!!

theague wrote in post #6051280 (external link)
I love being married as well but you have to admit there are times when it IS a pain. Two people working together doesn't always go smoothly.

Nope nope it isn't always smooth sailing. But I would much rather be married to my wonderful hubby than not.

Harm wrote in post #6051331 (external link)
....we just celebrated our 5th anniversary yesterday...hasn't been a pain at all. We're just happy we're together, simple as that. Sure we have arguments, who doesn't....

Congrats on the 5th!!!!! We are coming up on our 6th in December. And we are very happy to just be together (when we manage to actually be together).

Guess what? I just got an email from one of the guys at the rendezvous....he said they gave out my webpage and email so that people could order shots if they wanted!! Very cool!

Very Very kewl!

Ali's the only person I know who's happy to talk to someone on the phone while she's on the loo.

Tonight, she's done it not once, but twice.

Is this a commonplace practice among womenkind?

HaHaHa!!!! Only time I do that is if I'm on the phone to hubby.

BTW, why is it when there is a mechanical issue of some sort, it doesn't matter what time of day or night, at least four males will appear, fold their arms in front of their chest, chins lowered, circle the device and stare at the thing with an occasional point/nod/grunt? I find it fascinating, really. I have actually considered applying for a grant to do a study....

Permagrin wrote in post #6052267 (external link)
 LOL!! You should read what Patrick McManus has to say on that...it'll keep you laughing for days!

Patrick McManus is HILARIOUS!!

how funny! I thought that too...except that I'd be busting my buns to get OUT of that water with the camera high above my head.
