Ahh, yeah.....landlords....something goes wrong on a weekend, and they don't turn up for a few days etc....despite it being an emergency...wankers...
I have two 24/7 phone numbers in my cell phone's address book for the management company of the apartment building I live in. One for emergency maintenance, and one for the security people. I can reach them any time. I've only had to call the maintenance number once when my ceiling sprung a leak during a sudden monsoonal thunderstorm last year. It was after hours, but they still had someone here in just a minute or two.
I'm another of those people who just doesn't get why others prefer owning over renting.

little funny story...
The cable guy was just here hooking up our cable. He was a nice looking young man of latin coloring...and Calypso would have gladly gone home with him! She's usually very shy (hides when Chris comes here) but was all over this guy. No kidding. She was standing up so he'd pick her up and cuddling against him...it was so funny. I told him I'd lock her up but he was enchanted...I've NEVER seen her like that before.
Ashley was always that way with anyone who came into our home, but I've never seen another furkid behave that way. Minnie is cautiously friendly. Tupper and Crystal immediately run and hide in the bathroom cabinets whenever there's as much as a knock on the door. And, they won't even come back out until several hours after the "intruder" has left. Kitteh doesn't hide, but she won't let the stranger come anywhere near her -- which is exactly how she reacted to me when I saw her for the first time at your MIL's house.

Um, it's pink. Pretty self explanatory *snicker*
Oh, it is, is it?!? You really think so? I wouldn't be caught dead in a Speedo of any color.
I haven't even worn a swim suit of any kind since the 1980's.
I don't do swimming pools...

I did notice you slap on deet when we were at Dolly Sods which made sense but it makes me wonder about your deet habits
Makes me wonder how her camera gear is doing, too. Deet dissolves plastic. I used Deet once on a hike back when I was still carrying my Olympus 4040. When I saw what the grip looked like after holding it for most of the day in my Deet covered hand, I haven't used the stuff again.

Becky! Love the fair shots. 3 weeks until ours!!
Our starts in two weeks, but I can't go until the second week of the fair. I'll be in Disneyland (with John and Heather) and meeting my mother for lunch (I'm not looking forward to that part of the day!) the week our fair opens...

Why did the seventh one down remind me of our resident mouse?
I didn't catch that, but I definitely see it now that you mention it!
And, why does the one right above it always have to be included in every single web page showing a collection of photos of photographers? I am so freakin' tired of seeing that picture posted everywhere...
I don't know what brought that on, but I was laughing like a lunatic here!

I am a phantom virgin do other people get emotional or were you alone in your sobbing?
I read the book once. About 15 or 20 years ago. I don't even remember what the story was about, now.
You do know that must be shared, right? You don't have a choice! It must be posted somewhere for us to hear!

Dad is slowly coming around, and by that I mean he is speaking some, though very hard to understand. He mostly complains about the pain he is in. He normally has chronic back pain. He lost an arm right up the shoulder socket when he was 19 from a shotgun blast, and got run over by a combine (big harvesting machine for those not farm savvy) was in his late 30's and had some severely crushed bones (was actually told he would not likely walk again, though did in less than a year.
I'm glad to hear he's improving, but boy... What a rough life he's had!
I really, really, really, dislike the "eight image" rule, when it includes smilies!
