GAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Remember the whole niece thing? Going to college to be a photographer? Already shooting weddings? "put your camera away because D is the photographer this weekend" ?

Her dad (Wade's brother) just called and said that the photographer that D works for wants her to shoot races.
He called to ask what kind of lens she needs for that. He 'doesn't mind the investment' but wants to get the right lens for the job.

Right now she has the 400D and kit lens. Her dad got the 10-22 (locally for $900 ) for his architecture work.

Grrrrr...

I want to tell him that the only one that will work is the 300 2.8 L

At least she's shooting Canon, *and* they came to you for advice!!

"there are so many varables maybe she should ask her boss for a suggestion" Boom you are out of it.;)
What kind of races? Political, horse, dog, foot, car?

That's what I said!
but Wade was talking to him and he said "I'll have Cat talk to Jamie and see what he uses".

When He hung up I said 'I KNOW what Jamie uses without asking him'

I don't know details (I told Wade he should have asked more) but I guess she's going to be shooting races .. cars and motorcycles. Who knows.
I said "you'd think her BOSS would tell her what lens she needs"

Cat, that's a bummer...obnoxious relatives really are very trying.

I don't remember if I told you or not, but these are the folks that told me that D was going to art school to be a photographer because "Unless you go to college and get a degree in photography, you can never really make anything of yourself". GRRRRR. They know I am a photographer, and I don't have a degree. They have to smack me down any chance they get.
Gaaa. I get angry thinking about it.

No. they came to us with a "look what D is going to do and we are going to spend whatever we need to to get her the best". :rolleyes"
