I went fishing last week with my new 75-200 and all I could do was take pictures! I took the following. Let me know what you think. And let me know if there is anything that I can do to improve upon them.

#1: I'm not sure if you were applying a soft focus on this or not, but it appears as though sun screen was smeared on the lens because the blur is not even.

#2: I don't think there's enough interest in the sky/water to warrant a portrait orientation on this shot. Very clean reflection on the glassy water though.

Me too. But we were on a boat and before I could reshoot it we had already passed. Sometime you have to make due with what you have. Thanks for the compliment!!

I really like that first shot. It's calming. :)
Where were you when you took it?

Thanks! I kinda like um myself. I entered the second one into a photo contest and won first place. Guess it's not that bad....

We were at Lake Bistineau in Shreveport La. The first one is the first thing that I saw when we went out on the pier. The second one was while in a boat touring the water area. Electric motor boats are awesome. Now sound and no ripples.

No sunscreen on the lens. In fact this is how the entire place really looked. Other then a bit of shadowing and a bit of sharpening this right out of the camera.... I like it. The moss off of the trees was so beautiful!

But I do agree. I wish I had taken a panorama of no. 2.
