met up with a friend after work to do some cycling shots - i'm the farthest thing from a sports photographer but i wanted to give this a shot.
setup my 550ex to camera left, on the ground, tilted up... i think the power was set to 1/64 or 1/32 in manual mode... fired it via cheap radio transmitters.
first shot here is 24-70L @ 24mm - on the 5d
12-24mm (non fish) sigma @ 12mm
16mm zenitar fisheye - slightly out of focus (thing is hard to focus) - i just wanted to see the road bend
there is one more 12mm shot and a bit of a background on the shoot, along w/ a link to more of christy on my original blog post: http://www.mikepanic.com/christys-ride/
all post procesed in lightroom
what will be done differently next time - probably a shoot thru umbrella to help soften the light a bit - MUCH slower shutter speed to get the spokes blurred (or better- not even show)... shorty tripod for the 550 to sit on, want to get it off the ground 2-3' maybe.
