Jul 18, 2008 05:55 | #8 Ehhh, personally I use an Energizer CHDC7 charger and 2500maH nimh Energizer cells. Whatever you do get go 2500maH and up on the cells for longer life. And never "fast charge" if you can avoid it, heat kills rechargable batteries! So I will have to try and see which ones last longer on my 580 EX II. 5DMK3 Gripped. Sony a6000. 24-105 f4L | 40 f2.8 | 50 f1.8 | 85 f1.8 | 70-200 f4L |1000-300 f4.5-5.6 | Sigma 24-60 f2.8

I've done quite a few evening shoots in local nightclubs for web media where I'm shooting 300-400 shots with a 40D gripped and the 580EX II and I've yet to have to resort to changing the batteries during the shoots. I need to try to shoot more to see how many shots I can get before I drain the battery and then report on it. 5D MK II, 50D gripped, Elan 7e gripped & A2E gripped, Nifty Fifty, 17-40 L, 24-70 2.8 L, 70-200 2.8 L, 100-400 L IS, 100 2.0, Tamron 70-200 2.8 DI LD, Kenko 1.4/2 TC, Canon 580 IIEX, Canon 430EX, Sunpak PZ 5000AF
