Ok, I just got my cybersyncs from the nice man in the brown truck (actually, he was kinda rude, but hey, close to 9pm for a delivery, I guess he was tired....but I digress).
Before I continue :
DISCLAIMER : All tests were performed using a single flash (430EX - except the last one where I added a SunPak 355AF + another receiver to the mix) set on manual (1/64 - for faster recycles), cheap ebay hotshoe adapter, flash sync cable that came with the receivers (thats right, FREE FLASH SYNC CABLES - 2 types), panasonic alkalines that came with receivers.
All measurements are guesses based on the number for steps I took using the 4ft sidewalk slabs as my unit of measurement (NOT EXACT MEASUREMENTS). All distances are approximates.
2nd portion of test was performed in my house.
All tests were performed using the "TEST" button on the transmiter, all set to channel 5.
All presses were in 5 second intervals ( to allow for full recycle).
ON TO THE SHOW :
Outside, line of sight :
120 ft (30 slabs) - 5 presses, 5 flashes
200 ft (50 slabs) - 5 presses, 5 flashes
320 ft (80 slabs) - 5 presses, 5 flashes
400 ft (100 slabs) - 5 presses, 5 flashes
420 ft (105 slabs) - 5 preses, 4 flashes
440 ft (110 slabs) - 5 presses, 3 flashes
after that, I ran out of sidewalk for a # of slabs that would produce an equally divisible number (I hate math).
INSIDE TESTS :
Flash/receiver in master bedroom, on bed, fiance monitoring (and a lot of yelling to se if it went off)
30 feet away, 1 closed door, 2 opposing 90 degree corners - 5/5
50 ft, 3 walls (with blown-in insulation) - 5/5
100 ft, 4 reg walls (same insulation), 1 brick wall (with insulation), 5/4
2 flashes (both with ind. receivers), 30 feet, 1 wall - 5/5
Best part of all, 0 (ZERO, NONE, NADA) misfires (misfires = random fires without triggering).
Well, thats it for now, I got work tomorrow so its bedtime for me.
So far, I'm very satisfied with my purchase ( I got 2 receivers & a transmitter for $210), IMHO these are MUCH MUCH better than the ebay triggers (I CAN FINALLY USE MY 430EX OFF CAMERA!!!).
I'll try to test on-camera triggering and max flash sync tomorrow (or as time allows).

The TX just pushes in. No way to lock it.
