I ordered mine yesterday at 5:00 CST and they told me that they are in stock and should ship out on Monday or Tuesday. They also told me to expect them about two days after that.

On a side note they told me that they made some minor modifications to the transmitter. They weren't to specific but they said it was in relation to the Sony camera system.

I wish they had a lanyard, my 2 cents.

Now, I don't have to take the other one off the hotshoe, which is very snug.

Sorry for the n00b question, I'm just starting to learn all this wireless triggering/flash stuff. What is the advantage of having a transmitter attached to your meter?

Not so much an advantage in my opinion but a plus. You can meter your lights without a cable. I use the Cybersyncs and simply bought an extra transmitter that I put in my pocket and use while I'm metering my lights. That way I don't have to carry the camera or pull the transmitter from the camera to meter.

Pocket Wizards make a transmitter module that fits inside the Sekonic L-358.

For off camera use the 430EZ will really annoy you.

It has a standby mode that cannot be disabled, so in use off camera you will need to return to the flash every 90 seconds or so to wake the flash up.

Enjoy! Lon

The hot shoe mount will not change anything, it will still go into standby mode if off camera.

Enjoy! Lon

The 430EZ does not have a sync port, so the only way to access sync is via the foot on the flash with a hotshoe adapter.

Enjoy! Lon

I bought a couple of these and they worked great with the Cybersyncs.

Do I need the adapter if I'm using the Cybersync for my 580EX?

The 580EX II has a sync port but the original 580EX does not and you need a hotshoe adapter.
