I have been informed that it is now time to seriously consider IOL implants because of cataracts. Since the implants could possibly have an adverse impact on my photography hobby, making a decision is not easy. There are a number of different types of lenses available ... each with its peculiar advantages and limitations. The trouble is that I can't try out different ones to see which I like the best. I am concerned about some choices not being very good for photography because they may not be sharp enough to manually focus a camera and others may only be sharp for distance vision ... and then some types such as the multifocals are more prone to flare. Does anybody here have any personal experiences concerning how their lens implants have impacted their photography.
