It is god sign to you to buy a 5D + 17-40L now.... Glad you are all right from the fall, better go for a quick check-up though, sometimes you don't really feel some side-effects from it.

yup, i'm considering to get that combo :)

already got a checkup but the doctor said that i'm alright no broken bones just my left arms needs a serious treatment,

thx there jason :)

Hi Paten,

First of all, glad to hear you survived with minor scrapes. That is the most important thing!

Regarding insurance: it was an accident, so I don't think the insurance can blame you. I would contact the insurance company if I were you. You slipped, which is an accident, hence not your fault, and as a result fell and dropped your camera. I'd suggest to read the fine lines of your insurance policy, and then contact your insurance representative.

Feeling with you; kindest regards, Wim

thx wim :)

okay, maybe i'll do that and hope i got a positive answer from them

Glad you're okay. I took a film photography class back in collage. On the very first day the proffessor asked us not to get carried away. The very next day I caught myself doing a high-speed-chase-shoot-out on my way to school.

I'm sure Canon has a cure for your lens.

well, this is something that must considered before doing some dangerous shooting

i hope they have it :) thx there shutter

once again,... it's a miracle.....

Yikes!!! That was some fall. Lucky that the only thing broken was a lens. Could have been much worse. Glad your ok.

Wow...glad you weren't hurt worse....that could have had a pretty tragic ending with that stone curbing for a landing zone. Camera gear can always be repaired or replaced...not so with people. Like was previously mentioned, you should go buy a lottery ticket!

That camera was capable of 3 fps up to 27 you should have been able to pinch off at least 10 in that fall. Did it feel like you were falling in slow motion? I love the recap photos and happy that you lived to share.
