Stopped at a friend's place last night. He was busy hunting a pest that keeps getting into his garbage when I showed up. Next thing, we blowing stuff up!

Be sure to check out the whole gallery.

I think you'll enjoy this series:

I LOVE shots like these!

Of course, I also love shooting things and blowing things up, so this type of photography mixes three of my favorite things :)

All I can say is that this was a lot of fun. I was not expecting the paint can to blow up but it made for some cool shots.

I used my 40D @ 6.5fps for most of the shots. The place (#4) was one shot pulled at time of impact with a before shot of the plate. Look closely at number #3. You can see the pellet flying in mid air about to hit the plate.

These are fun for the whole family! I could see the pellet trail in #3. And yes paint cans are under pressure so they go boom.

I am assuming you did not waste any good Canadian beer and that is water in the beer cans spraying all over. And that poor troll!! If that's an original troll (circa 1960s) it could be worth a few bucks! If it just a newer age replica, then shoot away!

No beer was harmed :D

As for the troll, it could have been an original. I'll have to ask. This wasn't my stuff getting blown up :)

Thank God no beer was wasted. I guess we can be friends afterall. Some seriously cool shots by the way. Think about the timing of getting the shot of the plate broken but the pieces not yet fallen apart. Pretty amazing.

Great, this forum causes me soooo many issues. I always need to buy stuff, go hang upside down and try to duplicate a picture some else did. And NOW i have to go explain to my son why it is "OK" to blow stuff up....as long as Dad is taking pictures of it. Oh well, hows a boy to learn right. These are awesome shots, love em all. Off to your site i go..........all right wheres the fuse?

It is a lot of fun but can also be dangerous. One of the paint cans we shot went crazy and strayed all over the place. Luckily it wasn't by us but it easily could have.
