this one is displayed because i thougth it was cool for the 'felt' off the tennis ball can be seen.. even a volley can rip off the fuzz...

this next one has the beginning of the ball compression, and the tennis string started to move out of the string grid pattern.. very cool i thought..

#3 is a clear-cut favourite for me, I much prefer the front on shots that show the facial expression too.

Gotta love that 6.5 FPS hey?

Nice stuff

Butcha,

6.5 FPS has nothing to do with catching these moments. 50 FPS wouldn't even do it consistently. It's timing, (and a bit of luck), I'm sure Phamster would agree.

Phamster, great captures, especially when the face is included. You've got some talent.

John.

3rd picture is my favorite. Yea 6.5 fps has nothing to do with catching since most of time you miss right photo but it's much better then work with 2-4 fps. On tennis and basketball you need to catch righ moment on soccer you just shot and will get good picture. It's so different from sport to sport how to shot.

its what we call in the industry as a fried egg, well we do down here.

yeah 6fps does nothing hell even 10 doesnt, my approach is firing off a shot as i hear the ball come off the strings of the opponent, its still not easy but rewarding when you do get it, 9/10 you get the ball just on the racquet, just after or just before.

here was one ofmine from earlier this year

yea... i need to get the face in my photos.. but when blake was facing the other way and i had the ball on the strings i was still excited..

thanks ya'll

BUT MAINLY TOTAL LUCK !! are the actual results.. i shot maybe 500 snaps for the match and got just one on the strings for the blake match.
