I'm curious, has anyone seen this movie yet?

I was lucky enough to get tickets to the midnight show on IMAX, and I'd have to say I was literally blown away by this movie. What they say about Heath Ledger playing the role as the Joker was true. He played the villian so well I can see why some would say he should be up for an Oscar. Even though the movie was pretty long, I felt the storyline moved pretty well to the point that you didn't notice the how long it was.

But one of the best parts of the movie? Seeing a HUGE Canon sign on top of a building. It seemed like Canon got a chance at a little advertisment in this movie. You also get a great view of the Canon strap off of a 1DMkIII (I think) on a reporter :D

I will definately be seeing this movie again in an IMAX theatre. I believe the major action scenes that were shot for the first time in IMAX standard using an IMAX camera.

I have seen this three times already. It is the best movie I have ever seen and I was blown away by all aspects of it!

To tell the truth, I didn't seen the Canon sign, I did, however, notice the 1 series.

What scenes are in IMAX. I know the first bank scene is, but what else?

From what I've read, all 6 of the major action scenes were done in IMAX film standard. I will need to see the movie several times to identify them all ;) The Canon building shot happens when Bruce goes to Hong Kong. From what I remember, it was in the bottom left corner. I'm jealous that Aussies got to see it 2 days before we did. However, I understand that the UK release isn't until next Friday. That's a bummer. This is the best movie of the summer, and I would say it's the best Batman film to be made (so far ;)).

Bahahah!! Yeah, we got it a whole 2 days before you guys! I work at a cinema so I got in to the very first session of it, and every time I have worked I have been watching it. I just love Heath Ledgers performance!

We have even been given night vision to check for people filming.

Hahaha, night vision? That's crazy. Although, I can see why ppl would attempt to pirate this movie. I'd personally would like to pause it when I saw the 1d just to see what L lens was being used. :D

Haha, when I'm projecting I sometimes think it would be great to just rewind a little bit to see if what I just saw really was what I thought it was...

The night vision is pretty awesome, and just confirms the sick things people get up to in the cinema!:o

Definetly one of the best movies I have ever seen, probably the very best. Every part of it from the story, to the actors, to the filming, editing, and sound were just astounding. I saw it in one of the really big theaters last night at midnight, but I am going to try and see it sometime soon in Imax aswell.

I saw it midnight opening night. The place was packed 16 theaters full. I have to say this is probably the best movie I've seen all year and I've seen plenty of movies this year. Give it up for Heath Ledger for playing an amazing Joker.

I'll be seeing this at IMAX on Sunday. I've heard nothing, but great reviews there as well.

You guys aren't lying about this films quality. Just got done seeing it. While I wouldn't say it is the best movie I have ever seen, I would venture to say that it is close to being at the very top of the best action films ever made. It is an astonishing piece of film. Two thumbs way up. It probably also qualifies as the best super hero movie made, it is better than the first one. The bar has been set very high foe the next film in the series.

On I side note G4 had talked about it, and they said that it would probably best to keep the kids at home for this super hero movie, they were right. The story is very dark and violent. Kids should probably be steered away from this one, despite its seemingly family friendly PG-13 rating.

I wish there was an Imax near me.

I was able to watch the sold out midnight showing. Freaking awesome movie. It also beat Spider-Man 3's opening weekend which is a lot of money.

Just saw it this morning, amazing movie and Heath Ledger is amazing in it.

I could swear the guy behind Bruce Wayne in the press conference was shooting an EOS 3 actually, but my look was quick because I was distracted before looking at it.

I just saw it last night with some friends.
It was great.
I missed the 1 series body but I did see the Canon sign and pointed it out to my friend (he rolled his eyes).
Did anybody figure out what body Bruce was using in Hong Kong? He takes a shot and it sounds like an Xti, but you could only see part of the back, so it was hard to tell.

I had a hard time identifying that body too. I would like to think it was an XSi but i'm biased ;)

It had to have been a Powershot or Rebel. That's what all the cool people use for discreteness ;)

I loved the Canon advertising all over the place.
